Day 1: Nairobi -Samburu National Park
Met upon arrival at the airport in Nairobi or picked from your Nairobi city hotel and begin your safari by driving north to Samburu National Reserve arriving at Samburu Serena Safari Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in search for the unique animals of the region such as the gravy zebras, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostrich and many others. Dinner and overnight Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 2: Samburu
Full day in the reserve dedicated to both morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Safari Lodge
Day 3: Samburu - Mount Kenya
After breakfast, depart from Samburu and head on to the Mount Kenya region arriving at Mountain Lodge for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Mountain lodge.
Day 4: Mount Kenya - Lake Nakuru
Breakfast and thereafter drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing en-route to Sarova Lion Hill for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is known as a Ramsar site specifically founded for the protection of the black and white rhino. It is also a home for more than 450 species of birds including the lesser and greater flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles and many others. Dinner and overnight Sarova Lion Hill Safari Lodge.
Day5:Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara
After breakfast, drive further south west through the floor of the great rift valley (optional boat ride to lake Naivasha – freshwater lake with a picturesque view of Mount Longonot, hippos, over 400 species of birds on the island including pelicans, African fish eagles, African darter, cormorants and the lesser flamingos which are migratory) with a stopover at the home town for the Masai herdsmen. Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the vast Mara plains in search for the predators such the lions with dark manes, cheetahs, leopard and many herbivores especially during the yearly migration of wildebeest between July – September. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara
Full day in the Mara dedicated to early morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives or full day game viewing depending on ones choice. (Optional visit to Masai village
